Hi everyone,
Little help requested please, currently putting a 1960 B-275 back together and I am stuck mounting the ratchet mechanism for the handbrake. Can anyone please tell me the measurements on the mud guard for mounting it please? Or is it a case of trial and error?

I have done one a few weeks ago with no pattern. What I found on mine is that the bottom of the toothed bar needs to follow the radius of the ratchet closely, to have a good positive angle for handbrake mechanism to engage against the teeth. It works well, good positive engagement on the ratchet.

The way I went about it was to draw the radius on the skin, then offer the bar up to it and held it on place with welding magnets. Once I was happy with position I drilled the one hole, then mounted everything up, before drilling the second hole through the toothed bar. That way if I you need a slight adjustment you habe a bit to play with.

Photo below, ignore the spring thats a temporary measure.

I could get you measurements of what I have done, but as I have reproduction wings its difficult to know where to take a measurement from that would correspond accurately with what you have.

That looks absolutely perfect, thank you! I was sat there scratching my head that there must be a simple way as I have after market wings too, the original wings are too far gone for any reliable measurement.
