Back to back lambing pens

We're on with redesigning the lambing shed layout to make more room for bonding pens.
The problem I'm having, is how to attach pens back to back. We've iae hurdles with loops on, we're gonna have to buy more hurdles and I'm wondering if any other types of hurdles with attach properly?
I seem to end up with too many loops ??‍

Always find the pin style easier than the loops for what you're after. Easy to put them into a grid for back to back pens

Can you pin 4 hurdles together? Like in a cross formation?

I only use back to back in the lambing pen, I just tie um together wi sting so I dont end up with all the loops

I can with my 10ft hurdles.

Cheapest way would be to make your own hurdles out of wood then tie them with baler twine.

made all mine out of pallets them made all brackets , the ones I have in the middle can be used back to back they have double hooks for back to back use but not had need yo use um yet like that, made um wi that option in mind

Yeh, the only issue can be the shape on the coupling pin. If the horizontal is too long and fouling on the hurdles though you can just trim it back or bend it.

I'm trying to avoid thing em all with string, would be useful being solid and easy. They'll be used for forcing pens for the race the rest of the year

Attached our like this , after being annoyed with baler twine, hex head screws, easy too dismantle once we are done.

Cheapest way would be to make your own hurdles out of wood then tie them with baler twine.

Not a huge expense extra to bling the up with screw in eyelets and lengths of 10mm bar.

Drop pin hurdles every time, they sit together without the need of any string, more secure when using them in a handling system than the hoop type, I'd never buy the hoop type, go pin you will never go back

I had the same problem with loop hurdles and got fed up with string so after years of having enough I took the angle grinder to them and cut a load of loop of some of the hurdles. The hurdles are only ever used for pens anyway so makes sense and I still have a load with loops if I need them.

In my experience they're good at taking their own loops off ??‍ especially when you don't want em to!
