Bale Spreader or blower

Which is the best for bedding pigs? Would be to go on front of jcb. Also how far would each throw the straw please, after sticking boom right out could you get straw to the back of a 60 foot shed? Thanks

Spread-a-bale is a great bit of kit. Can throw a good bale just over 40 foot. However few loaders are heavy enough to have a full bale in the spreader and the boom right out.

I don't think a spread-a-bale would be able to reach 60ft would it? It's a big lump of a thing sticking off the front of a telehandler. They are good machines though, pretty idiot proof and simple.

I don't know if the telehawk type machines have the grunt to throw straw 60ft either. A trailed teagle would probably reach the best part of 60 feet if blowing to the 'right' side.

Spread a bale in my book, but 30ft is a more reasonable average. You need a decent loader though, ours is on a JCB 535-95.
