It has been a while in the making but we are excited to announce you can now claim CPD points for being a TFF member!

At the moment 2 BASIS Points are available every 12 months for being an active member of TFF with at least 5 posts. We are currently talking to NROSO and hope to have confirmation for something similar from them very soon.

To apply for your points, please hover over your member username in the top right hand corner of the page and click on the 'TFF CPD Points' link:

That will take you to a page like this.

Click on the link for the type of points you wish to apply for (at the moment only BASIS points are available).

You will then be taken to a form that looks like this:

Simply enter in your details and press submit. We'll send the info off to the relevant organisation and your points will be added to your record!

The points will last 12 months, and you won't be able to apply for anymore until 12 months is up. We'll send you an email to remind you to apply again when it is time.
Please note, the CPD Points page may take a minute to update after you have submitted the form.

We hope the points will come in useful and let us know what you think in this thread :D

you joking 50% of the stuff posted on forums is rubbish, take this thread for a start both @John 1594 and @Cowabunga are both correct to an extent but have argued them selves to a stalemate with no one the wiser, well except me of course.i take any thing posted on forums with a large pinch of salt.

you can get them for buying Farmers weekly, wandering around a show eating burgers and watching someone else service your sprayer

I have actually learnt quite a lot from reading stuff on TFF, its definitely made me a better farmer (maybe I was just very bad before !)

There are threads that are genuinely informative. There are of course some threads that aren't to be taken too seriously with many somewhere in between. If you've got a query it's a very easy method to get an answer or even opinions- and in most cases you'll get some solutions- failing that you'll probably be guaranteed a few laughs as the thread veers off topic.

Good to see it's got the same status as a farming magazine etc.

If you posted less frequently it would significantly cut down on the nonsense that is posted.

I don't need them but NroSo points might be useful in future, certainly I learn more here than the winter workshops I attend.

Really hope nroso also sign up to this, I find I normally learn something relevent each week much better than watching my sprayer being tested or walking round a show.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
