Surely that kind of money would get you a SP? Try your favourite bearings factor.
Brammer did me a SP kit at £250 albeit some years ago.

Sorry, correction,I broke a leg on the borrowed Spalding's one.Never done that on mine that I've had 16/17 years.
I have the original spaldings set which came in a metal box- couldn't comment on whether the set they supply now is the same one. The hydraulic jack let go on mine and just replaced it with one from marketplace. I've not managed to bend or break anything on it yet.....

We have had a sykes set for may years its never failed. It started out by buying the odd bit i found and after many years of collecting it we now have two full sets, only recently sold off the bigger stuff we don't think we will use, i still have a few oddments if you need any bits?

When you pop a leg and have to use the grinder to square it back up...... I'd rather have a cheapy. And don't say it would never happen with a Sykes.

Some of the cheap stuff is fine, but some isn't its pot luck. The advantage with Sykes is 90% of the stuff is interchangeable and parts are easy to get, down side is they are very expensive new.
