can anyone do lamb in quantity cheaper in to our market than NZ ?
Australia? But unlike NZ they don't have tarrif free access to European markets so you don't see as much of their lamb here.... The same tarrifs our meat exports will have if we move to trading with Europe on WTO arrangements :X3:

Is there any facts around to show staying in is going to be any better? Roger and uncle thomas were joined by 17million plus others! The majority not a few fritt hill men!
Just the fact that Europe has been a protected market for farmers meaning prices on average are above the world average ,and not doing trade deals to bring in cheaper products from other countries and banning meat produced with hormones or gmo crops

Well probably should of stayed at home but how much worse is it going to get 42kg Cheviot Mules £62.50 40kg Charley out of Cheviots £63 average £1.52 :(
We had lambs similar at Darlington last 2 weeks. Was told on here they'd be better in stores so took some today. Around 37 kg suffolks bid to £45 so brought home.

Often makes me wonder, new pickups, new tractors, new trailers sky high land prices, farms mortgaged for millions and selling lambs for £50?

Whenever these artificially low interest rates end, I fear alot of farmers will really struggle. The value of produce produced doesn't reflect the inputs.

No doubt he had a good cull ewe trade and priced the breeding ewes against them and not the lambs!

Current store/ prime lamb prices aren't sustainable for any farmers at these prices! store lambs were making £44 back in the 1980's!

Didn't have time to go but heard that trade at Exeter was down on a month ago, good mule breeding ewe lambs sold from £64 head upwards apparently!
