No I really do not understand it...saw a guy buy some mules the other day @124....then an hr later he was stood in a pen of store lambs selling them for 44 nothing to me makes any sence anymore...does anyone else think the same or is it just me and moving on did anyoneon here get to Exeter today...nearly 3500 breeders for sale so i was told
I dont get it -our bank manager has had 5 calls in last 24 hours from people wanting to extend overdrafts to buy extra ewes?????

Borrowing money becomes an addiction after a while. If you cannot repay the overdraft you already have, how are you going to pay back an increased one?! Bank managers must be mad

Bank managers...love it ..keeps the busy and in a job...charge them a high arrangement fee and push the interest up...they love it...remember they are only front men talking to the farmer....the decision is taken above him...he just passes on the good or bad news and some farmers are so screwed they don't haggle the bank on anything...but they would haggle me or you if they were buying something from us

Im getting a tad worried about you cattleman as you seem to spend a lot of time answering your own posts on TFF these days lol..

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
