Hmmm , not in heard of for sheep trade to severely burn fingers, braver men than me buying store lambs at the moment .
Yes . Was really talking more about the beef job . I agree with you on the sheep job ...it seems to be a drug to them but cattle always seem to be a bit more reserved !

Maybe the wrong place for this and controversial for some but just reading about the imminent demise of Debenhams and Arcadia group isn’t it a shame that supermarkets don’t suffer a similar fate. They can’t seem to lose in current circumstances.
think that would hit us harder , they just need to get away from the message that each one is always the cheapest , yes people want value for money but thats only relative , insurance goes up , sky tv goes up , every other cost goes up except food , and we are paying for it , basically we are the sweat shops for food production with 21st century regulation

Yes I agree with you, it just seems everything plays into their hands and they are untouchable.

A lot of people reporting there dole money gone in there bank this morning so that’ll liven store trades up
Might do but the straw job is becoming a real problem for some . At a farm on Monday the straw is a big issue for them.
A public footpath running right in front of their main cattle shed which is well used . They have to be extra generous with bedding down due to a few 'vocal local' idiots who regularly cause trouble for them . ....before I get shot down ...I'm not suggesting that you have to be neglectful to save straw but it is possible to save a bit if your not intending to market stock and keep them through the following summer.

Owning a pub or restaurant will be a licence to print money once the vaccination has be rolled out and everybody celebrates being alive. Beef trades still ok and december is never the best month, dont believe the propaganda. I agree a deal isnt the best for beef but it isnt a death sentence either
I do hope so

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
