Kebab used to be essential at the end of a big night/day on the sauce. Haven't had one since the year 10BC (before children) and don't think I've ever been brave enough to eat one sober, god they tasted good inebriated though.
When I first tried one sober I wondered how the hell I liked them so much when drunk but now I love them sober, probably because we've all got more adventurous and less suspicious as we get older.

Gisburn and Penrith have sales today, Thirsk got a collection for sheep today, Lamb trade and demand is still there, hope cattle demand and trade is still there next week!!!!
Makes me despair about our local market when you see other centres operating on the Sunday between Christmas and New year, yet they held their last sale on the 21st and won't have another until the 4th!

It's not every year that demand is as good as what it is at moment, some years these sales between Xmas and New year are sluggish at best particularly for cattle.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
