The new normal currently is stirks at or below their value of 12 months ago!
Store cattle would be very similar to the above as well.
3 markets now this week that several store cattle have gone home unsold.
Very smart suckle bred 8 month old steers today struggled to get to £660 and them and the heifers from the same farm went home unsold.
Store cattle wise very strong circa 600+ kilo suckler bred steers are now only worth around £1070 at best!
Plenty of strong heifers circa 20 months old now only making mid to late £700's at best.
Store cattle would be very similar to the above as well.

Trade crashed at the end of last week.
Very very little cheer around the store or stirk rings currently.
Dairy calve trade has also dropped very sharply on 2/3 weeks ago., takes a hell of a calve to get past £280 today!

Top end suckler stirks still £1000+ but they would have been £100 more 2/3 weeks ago!

Upwards for the sheep job.
Cattle there is a lot of concern ref prime prices after Xmas + a lot of concern over feed/ fert prices going forwards!
Even the big northern buyers only stayed for an hour or so today and then went home with few cattle, no one is that hungry for either stirks or store cattle currently!
Odd why prices have started to vary so much between regions, we are in that middle period where everybodys on planting and its a long winter ahead for small stuff especially the dairy x's and poor sucklerbred things. Calf trade has eased in all the main centres along with the average weanlings. Seasonal autumn buyers would have made tidy money on last years purchases so i would expect them to restock but they probably won't start until next month.
