Just watched a few weaners at Carlisle on line.Just finished selling. I wouldnt have liked to be selling today.Two pens of 7 named sire Angus steers and heifers £630 and £500.Little better than calf prices.There seemed to be any amount of decent cattle in the £600s.They must be almost £200/head less than for same size cattle from May/June.
At Hexham today, suckler heifers and calves took 3k for ought decent, 3.5k for smart outfits. Come home empty.

Don’t worry you didn’t miss any bargains, I’ve learned today not to value stock on the lap top

So , sheepman tells me the export job to france is dead .

Tell me about it , personally like a bit of lamb , the offerings over the water are disgraceful , even the dog might pull his nose up ;

Eventually found some thing with meat on , but jesus it was difficult , talk about cutting your nose off
