Selby - have a good man who likes to draw 'em as how he thinks it will suit their buyers.

Both sold in pens so buyers can handle them if they want - always surprises me how many buyers never touch them.

Can never understand why they don’t handle them. Must be a huge variation in the carcass of a 42kg lean lamb and a 42kg over fat lamb.
Couple of weeks ago i saw three pens of lambs (mule wethers) from the same vendor. Last pen was seriously under finished so thought I might buy them. They made the same price as the first two pens

no different to ram buyers,at auction very few actually handle a ram properly before purchase (and they are trimmed out and prob coloured ) , then they wonder why they melt ,

Heavy hoggs around the £140-£150 price bracket today....vastly reduced numbers

Shrewsbury was £30 a head back. Last few to clean them up so a mixed bag. Average 45kgs £107.

Yes, that’s true. It’s been a hell of a spring for hoggs. Not sold a one under £100.
Need grass now so glad they’re gone.

I’ve still got 200 left...thankfully they’re only getting grass....they’ll have to be going soon

I wouldn't be too sure they are drying up yet tbh........

More to do with the weather and everyone is flat out doing field work before the rain returns on Monday than actual Hogg numbers on the ground.

Stuck some to grass a few weeks back and they were looking well today with sun shining and fresh bite in front of them. Hopefully come mid May price will be good and they will come to good money. At over a year old they need to!

Best described as mixed. Some real crap, most middling and a few nice pens that made £115 max I think.
