Catering job will be gone untill at least April/ May and possibly untill June

100% we will be in another lockdown by mid/end Feb or most of the country will be in Tier 3 by then!

And why will people go out for a meal in Tier 2 when they cant meet friends/ family etc and only eat with their household, just as well stay home and cook a meal.

On the beef price front, i have not heard of one quote that is less this week other than for one Angus job.

Will be intresting to see what the beef price quoted tomorrow for next week is.
I disagreee ....we are in tier 2 and will be going out to eat . Table all booked up just the OH and me and looking forward to it . The biggest problem we had was .......booking a table cos everywhere is full up , unless you want to eat in a 'chain pub ' or such like .

Anybody been to gisburn today ?
Had a mate take 6 weaned calves all good sorts but he said trade was well down there to nearing to abysmal.
He wouldn’t have wanted to be some of the vendors waiting for the report at the end of day as they would have been disappointed.
Did he mention how old they were and how much they made ?
You might think different when he does tell you !!

Perhaps larry has managed to get a boat load across. If they think beef will be dear in the new year they will try to pull it back or get as much imported meat in between now and jan 1st.
Last week's Meadow Quality report mentioned something about Irish kill numbers being significantly up on the week, suspect they will be filling up cold stores over here
