When they only tell you top prices that means the average was terribleSedgemoor calf report was useful when it was top price and average for each breed, less helpful now it's top price and other!
If you read longtown's report on cull cows makes me laugh every time, go's like new buyer present more cows required, they only had 2 on Thursday, what would the trade be like if they got 4Hardly surprising, when you consider the authors are usually the auctioneers.

Yes, remember an auctioneer telling I should bring him my cull ewes. I said last week I took 125 to Longtown and had a bumper trade. Then asked them what the trade would have been like if I brought them to them, doubled their entry and halved their qualityIf you read longtown's report on cull cows makes me laugh every time, go's like new buyer present more cows required, they only had 2 on Thursday, what would the trade be like if they got 4
Even thats made up,I’ve known them add £40 to my own animals to make the top price look good, they should really give me the £40 for advertising royalties…Yes but ignore the positive spin and study the facts which are the market averages

Aye, there’s plenty of locals can’t fathom why my sheep go back too Bentham or Longtown. If I turned up with 450 scotch bred sheep at any marts within 50 miles of here I’d flood the place and get my arse kicked too boot!!
