i have the same problem, i remember selling milling wheat to go into store one june for £178 the only guide ive got is the reg of the lorry CLA 471T and we scraped it over 30 years ago

Yes agree, but the cattle sheds are pretty full already. I’m glad i have had a nice few fat cattle to sell this winter, they have been the light on the farm this year. The arable bit has been very disappointing since drilling barley late in April last year.

Yes, try to rear 160 calves a year. Rear most of them September to Christmas time, so that’s probably peak number time. Come in about 2 weeks old leave fat around 2 years old.

It used to take some time to de bone a ewe I’m not sure if the process has moved on since then. Some say they steam wash the meat off the bones now
