how much?Admittedly it’s in an old glass pop bottle on the shelf and was kept because it was the most expensive barley we had sold.

Money was worth something then as well.i have the same problem, i remember selling milling wheat to go into store one june for £178 the only guide ive got is the reg of the lorry CLA 471T and we scraped it over 30 years ago
Yes agree, but the cattle sheds are pretty full already. I’m glad i have had a nice few fat cattle to sell this winter, they have been the light on the farm this year. The arable bit has been very disappointing since drilling barley late in April last year. You would get it to more than £200 though cattle or sheep

What are the doing with these ewes at £250 to £300?
That's got to be over £3 a kilo live.
Yes, try to rear 160 calves a year. Rear most of them September to Christmas time, so that’s probably peak number time. Come in about 2 weeks old leave fat around 2 years old.Are you replacing what you are selling?
They're robbing swales at a fiver thenI don’t know. One of the ethnic buyers told me years ago when the same ewes were making £100 plus he could sell a hell of a lot of meals off one ewe which added up to many times the value of the cost
Same cost to kill and a lot less meals than a £300 modelThey're robbing swales at a fiver then
There’s not much demand for tooth picksThey're robbing swales at a fiver then
At £10 a pop it will soon add up I suppose.A lot of kebabs out of a £300 ewe.
