Sorry if it’s done before, looking for a new decent radio for tractor, cd, Bluetooth connectivity etc. Can you have DAB as well as the standard bands FM/AM etc? Do a lot of hours so looking for something good. Thanks

Just got this, going in the Weidemann to replace a woeful JVC. Not the cheapest but pretty resilient and big buttons.

Have a number of dab radios. My tractor has a pure highway which must be the best part of 10 years old, 3rd tractor it’s been in. Starting to show its age now and dose loose reception. Have a pioneer in a manitou and they always seem to have good reception

Bought a cheap chinese one for the sprayer I'm away to fit. £23.

I haven't high hopes for it, but will see how it does out of interest!

You can consider Avantree Portable FM Radio, this is not just a radio but also a Bluetooth speaker. It can also play MP3 files through an SD card reader. This makes it great because you have multiple choices on your music sources. If your radio can’t provide clear reception then you can just link your phone and listen to your saved MP3s.

I'll be interested to see how you get on with that. The Blaupunkts here have generally been good, but like nearly all modern head units, the designers seem way to interested in style, tons of functions and tiny buttons. The worst thing about a JVC I once had was its display had ADHD and there was no way to stop it doing a crude light show every 30 seconds.

It’s been designed for use in machines, big buttons, dust and splash proof. Will try to remember to report back when it’s fitted.
