Political pundits seem to be saying Biden will be good for the country but not necessarily good for the government. Trade deal may be more difficult if Boris shafts Northern Ireland therefore maybe more pressure on Boris to do deal with EU.
Time will tell. I for one pleased Biden looks like winning.
Is this the same political pundits that stated Hilary was on course to win?🤔

I’ve been watching the coverage on CNN’s livestream for the last 3 days, fascinating stuff but the count process is sooo slow.

Made the mistake of looking at Fox News, holy sh!t, they’re foaming at the mouth with conspiracy theories and Chinese whispers, Rudie Giuliani (sp) and Newt Gingrich using the kind of language and threats that could lead to a 2nd Civil War, absolutely barking mad.
Goes to show there are many Americans who haven’t moved on from the Salem witch trials.
if you look at Black Lives Matter (etc), you will see that the rest of the West also has not moved on from them either!

To me, I think the election was part a cultural war, that is being fought between the "woke" identity politics Democrats and the working class, country dwelling (non "state" employed) Republicans. I am pleased that even though Trump has not won, his good results have shown that there is a fight back in the cultural war. Remember what happens in the US comes here too, so maybe we will see a swing back against the woke culture we are living under too.

Just a shame the Republicans didn’t pick a candidate who could make a credible argument rather than someone who blurts out the first random sh!t that enters his head and tells everyone it’s going to be wonderful, just wonderful.

W.
Maybe. Seems to be a theme that polls, that those predicting Hilary to win relied upon, are not too reliable. The polls this time predicted easier Biden win than it seems to be. A lot of closet Trump voters misleading the polsters perhaps.
I believe that Biden as president will alter government approach to both Brexit and US Trade deal.

Like the late Republican Senator John McCain? 😞
A tough gig running against Obama in 2008, but extremely gracious in defeat.
Trumps slating of McCain, calling a man of integrity and ex Vietnam PoW a “loser”, that might just have been enough to have lost Trump this election.

As with any "competition " be it tractor manufacturers, foods, political opponents, big up your side don't go for the cheap shot slandering the opposition.

A rep nearly lost a deal by calling my make of tractor a spiteful name. Lucky for him I had signed the deal!

I just hope Trump goes with good grace when the result is declared. Doubt whether he will. Probably try and cause as much mayhem as possible.
It is a sad state of affairs when broadcasters pull Trump's speech like they did yesterday because they knew he could not substantiate a thing he was saying.

Why did they pull it?
I’d let it be seen, give him enough of rope............

All pulling it does is give a bit of credibility to his argument that everyone’s against him and it’s all a fix

I very much doubt he will go with good grace

Talk in the media that he might try to metaphorically ‘burn the house down’ before he goes, to cause as much pain as he can to his successor.
Also that he might pardon anyone who knows his darkest secrets, including his own family, so they can’t be used as witnesses against him in the future.
He tweeted a couple of years ago that he had the right to pardon himself in advance when he leaves office “not that I’ve done anything wrong”, the loathsome piece of sh!t.

I think Trump is in a league of his own, I see no similarities to Borris
I see similarities.Johnson often speaks everything is going to be great, wonderful etc. The republicans went with Trump because they thought he had the best chance of winning at the last election, not because they liked him.Like Bolton said, they thought they could reign him in abit after he won.The Tory party machine voted for Johnson because they thought he had the best chance of winning the next election. They would have been better choosing Hunt,as he still would have beaten Corbyn.

Bidens a blair type, he will look after ireland before he looks after us. He also has major economic problems at home to focus his attention before he even thinks of anybody else, im pretty sure he will turnout to be a very weak and poor president.

Did they say Biden was of Irish ancestry.......believe so, remember there are more Irish people in America than there are in Ireland so any deals the English are trying to pull will be subject to the constraints that situation brings' to the table.

Biden will take no shït from Johnson and his current cabinet, because they have supported Trump and insulted Biden until the start of the election count. Biden is also very very supportive of Ireland and will hold no truck with Boris's border nonsense and breaking of signed treaties. Basically there is no possibility of a 'good' trade deal with the Biden administration while Boris Johnson and his team are in government. The Tories may well be sharpening their knives for a big cull at the top already, because they know that we are now totally and absolutely stuffed when it comes to the major trade deal that Boris was counting on to save his balls. These are about to be squeezed hard if not removed altogether due to Boris's inept and shambolic international politicking and disastrous Brexit mismanagement. It can't come a moment too soon.
