Just saw that be a bit brisk
might be in the caingorms or snowden but sea level nowhere near ,weather people try to sensationalize everything ,its january its cold move on
Wasn't overly hot in 2010 ...
What snow in January hardly a shock, it should be winter in winter.
Good might get some slurry out
i know working outside putting steels up flipping freezing ,minus 20 ish with the wind
No offence but fudge off
But you're not supposed to spread slurry on frozen ground.
Well we just get on with it , we in Aberdeenshire are usually sheltered by the worst if it from west by the Grampians, from the north sot so much,
I'd much rather snow now than bloody April or may
Better than sinking on wet ground
Don't worry we will handle it, I always chuckle when u see news reports in England with roads chaos, and you see the roads still black,
The year I decided enough was enough, and stopped contract rearing 180 dairy heifers, as it wasn't much fun de frosting water tanks all day on my own.
Remember 2010 well, we were on a job in Scotland. As I said to my tyre man, we'll need those wintwer tyres, we have a winter job in Scotland.
I used a hosepipe for 2 weeks , but starting the tractors was the biggest challenge .
Muggles crap themselves when there's a light frost, typical uk media bulling it up
I went skiing in 2010, flight out was delayed by 2 hours and talk of cancelling it because we had 1" of snow in an hour, got to italy airport with a good 2ft of snow and no problems
You just need to try living down hear with them. The last snow we had little old car stuck in drift so driver locks it up I find them walking home took her back to her house but to her back door she then tells me she didnt live there so I took her to the other side of the house to the front door Oh she says I live hear. Got her to leave me with her keys so we could clear the drift found the car full of snow she had left both front windows fully open. Her home had been the Carrabian.
You got me curious Howard. Just looked at my old uk area forecasts, can't see anything cold at all
In fact, 11 degrees next week end (are we still allowed to talk centigrade since brexit?)
Fil says it's minus 20 (centigrade) in the cz rep but that's about normal
Yes I looked also with similar results , but the bbc who are normally non commital have given this forecast and....... it's backed up by The Sun
