What's your technique for getting the chamber completely empty? I like to empty it as even dry hay sweats and crusts the chamber Some now have a partial bale elector device. How does that work?

There’s usually a set of spike in the bottom of the chamber attached to a hydraulic ram, as the ram is pushed out the spikes rise into the bottom of the bale and push it out. Just extend and retract the ram a few times and the bale is out. Just remember to tie it first. What's your technique for getting the chamber completely empty? Yes i know that but it doesnt get the chamber empty unless a decent length bale. Often we make 4ft bales. If the last one is not long enough the extractor will tgry to curl up the bale rather than pull the bale. I then end up having to put some old straw in the baler to push the damp stuff out. There’s usually a set of spike in the bottom of the chamber attached to a hydraulic ram, as the ram is pushed out the spikes rise into the bottom of the bale and push it out. I put 2 little ratchet strap hooks on the middle 2 strings and pull it out with the loadall .Yes i know that but it doesnt get the chamber empty unless a decent length bale. Often we make 4ft bales. done that many times. usually the strings breakI put 2 little ratchet strap hooks on the middle 2 strings and pull it out with the loadall .
Take the pressure off .done that many times. usually the strings break
Drop the strap down the front of the bale (between bale and plunger), you can then feed under the bale and pull it out that way.done that many times. usually the strings break
Make the last bale a bit bigger then?Yes i know that but it doesnt get the chamber empty unless a decent length bale. Often we make 4ft bales. I do. Taking the pressure works sometimes but it can allow the bale to curl more making it worse!Take the pressure off .
I often do but it's hit and miss if it makes it too long to wrapMake the last bale a bit bigger then?
What baler is it ? assume you're talking haylage .I often do but it's hit and miss if it makes it too long to wrap

New holland 4 stringWhat baler is it ? assume you're talking haylage .
I often do that if I have to but just looking to see if anyone has any good systems that work.If it does just push it against another, cut the strings, dig out the excess and re tie.
Square balers are designed to have stuff left in the chamber, easier just to rebale some straw if you really want the grass out?
