What should you run Trellabourg at on some road work with hauling trailer psi. Thanks
Id be runnin at 22 if trailers are suited to tractor but if runnin a bit heavier than ideal mabe 24-26. It doesnt take long to change the pressure if needed to go do field work if u buy a tool to remove the valve center when inflating/deflating so be better keep them hard for the road and adjust accordingly for field

fitted the past 12 months here.
540/65r28 on mf 35 happy with them
320/85r28? on mf35 happy better than same size bkt for grip
540/65r38 on mf399, driver wrapping with it and drawing silage more than happy, replaced 16.9 taurus 30%
420/85r34 gri, mf390, grip well but not too impressed with how they look, replaced 50%bkt same size linglong not availble.
420/70r28(14.9r28 in 70 profile) Advance-not a clue about them, ts115 and loader again linglong not available.

have fitted 4 sets of tianli before with 2 sets still being used and grip/wear is good we find for the money but again general work and all 85series. first 65 series tires fitted here are those listed above for fertilizer sowing and such work

really depends what you expect the tires to perform as to what you buy. i dont care how they look i prefer how they perform on our hills
Surprised u liked the tianli, customer of ours bought them once as they were cheap and didnt give much trouble but the tread depth when new left a bit to be desired thus they wore away quicker

we put a full set on a mf6180 for baling, all 85series as said, would run rings around the valmet which was unstopable on rear taurus but useless on the bkts currently on it. when we changed the 6180 it went for export so we kept the rears to fit to the ts 115, i bet in a hill it will go further than the mxm again it came fitted witha full set of bkt. this past spring i went to spread slurry with the mxm thinking the hill would be no problem, half way accross the bottom then up at an angle as i have being doing the last ten years. had to use the 6180 for do this after we put bkt on the valmet, seemed too sore on the ground and broke it quickly, 6180 had no problem. case this year spun out and i had no choice but to work with it as the 6180 was traded for the case. i have slide down more hills with bkt than any other tyre we fitted.

my 6180 struggled in steep ground last year baling it was fresh reseeded and couldnt bit in as no real roots and i never had weights on it. the valmet just did it this year, had 6 front weights and 4 rear wheel weights and it took it all.

still waiting on anything really bad about 85 and 65 series linglongs but not about long enough i suppose, apparently old infinity i think i heard one time was linkd to them.

Could u put up a pic of the 85 series linglongs as iv a 5464 needin new boots mabe next year and id love to be puttin 580s on but i use her on a old non rev plough to plough wet bits that the 4 furrow rev would sink ye in so gonna have to either put on 18,4 again or mabe 20,8 as would like bit more road speed and im unsure what brand to choose as as far as im concerned the last good 85 series to be made was a good year super traction radial but there mega money now

will take a few pics tomorrow, think all are at home here.
isnt 580 a 70series, if so i dont have that only in advance on the front of a ts, wouldnt be a first choice by looks but they will be tested for wear on that tractor.

Yes a 580 is the tyre id like but gonna have to go 18.4 or 20.8 to suit with the ploughin

The 1s on the back of the ts look better than the fronts. The tyres on the 300 series is nice pattern. Most tyre brands seem to be better in 65 series than 70 or 85 series for some reason

BKT are the tyre of choice on our lime spreaders, they have a slightly more open tread pattern than others we can get in the right size which (as someone upthread said) makes them feel a bit lumpier on the road, but they outlast or give comparable wear - and we do heaps of roadwork at 85-90kmh.
We also tried Mitas and they are the opposite, tread "looks" like it should be better on road, like the Michelin, but in practice they are both pretty hopeless offroad once you get a bit of slip, all they do is block up half the tyre and railroad you downhill

Slightly different use, but they don't wear like "a budget tyre"

for context our trucks are on 445/65 R22.5 and tare around 11 tonne

If u hang on to them long enough theyl crack badly 2. We got them on a new tractor and can safely say they were the worst tyres i ever owned. Tractor never seemed to have any grip compared to a goodyear str, they were complete slicks by 2200 hours on a 40k tractor and they cracked on both sides of each lug

Oh they won’t last long enough to crack, they be knackered by this backend. 5 furrow plough and 4m combi will soon finish them off.

Something wrong there.. Ours have 20% left at 7000 hours...
I’m guessing your not loading a 165hp tractor on 520 tyres down with 5x18 furrows or 4m combi and front press and expecting it to plough and drill steep banks on the wolds ?

Drilling it’s rare it comes off 100% engine load and front press has to be a carried a bit uphill or will grind to a halt pretty quickly with all 4 wheels spinning?

Yes it needs wider tyres and will get them once these are done. And yes a bigger tractor wouldn’t hurt at times but this one does bloody well all things considered.
