AHDB is not a levy then as you don't have to pay it
Only because I’m not in the same country - but I do pay a very similar levy to QMS, much of which goes on collaborative projects with AHDB.

By you I meant it doesn't have to be paidOnly because I’m not in the same country - but I do pay a very similar levy to QMS, much of which goes on collaborative projects with AHDB.

Go out and shoot a lamb cut it up and eat it and you will not pay anything
All the shall we sat payment to AHDB does is open up more markets it don't have to be paid
A quarter of million a year , half of it then given to guy. The ahdb make Santa Claus look like Scrooge, surprisingly paying all these organisations (and god knows there is a list just look at the accounts) and the 27 million wage bill doesn’t hurt one bit because it’s not their bloody money. Both AHDB and RT can easily be viewed as parasitic
If you pay in to AHDB you pay in to RT as they bung them a good wedge

you have to admit it is a very good ploy, bung all these organisations a good lump of cash and then they will back you all the way , like the review half of the 0.45 percent were these organisations and were they going to cut off the hand the feeds them I will have to think about that for a moment, are we treated as mugs or what, somebody ought to inform them we got rid of our smock and bit of straw a few years back.yep
pay AHDB so much for everything we sell they bung a wedge of it to RT and RT use it to buy sticks to beat farmers with.
you couldn't really make it up
Yesterday I received an article out of the south east farmer sent by a grower , this quoted a fruit grower who sits on one of the panels and seemed to be undecided but thought he would vote yes, so l called him and we had a long and informative chat , then he said he had been trying for years to stop them taking money from Packhouses and you would have thought with him being on the panel they might have given it some thought but no they chose to turn a blind eye, doesn’t that say it all.yep

maybe I should start up a dialogue with pig producers , they are having a tough time at moment,I should think paying a useless quango must be somewhere near the top of their list for cost cutting.
is that a new pig disease that people can get ?I think you'll find pig producers a bit more open to cpd than your blinkered approach
