I thought we lived in a democratic country obviously not,

We do. You hardly encourage two way fair conversation yourself, so you can't expect it in return. You wanted to play them & us, so that's what you got.

Try being constructive instead of constantly critical, and you might get somewhere

What was the question you wanted to ask?
The one I posted on here a few weeks ago, which was now they have come out with a statement saying that they should not have been taking the levy on produce going through a Packhouse , The reason being they do not any work with Packhouses. Which is hard to swallow considering two thirds of my produce goes this way, I wanted to know if they would be returning this levy which had been taken wrongly.

I suspect you’d be better answering that question one on one with someone senior in the accounts team. It’s not the sort of thing for an open meeting anyway, as it would need some time to research before committing to an answer.

And given your history of trouble making and Trumpesque lies and insinuation, I wouldn’t engage you in an open forum either, if I were in his place.

I have been following the red tractor accs referendum thread it has many similarities with this one. The nfu support both ahdb and red tractor when farmers clearly don't. The nfu cant represent their members when there is a conflict of interest. I am considering my membership over this, we cannot allow our interests to be miss represented by the nfu with their association with these organisations.

This is one of the reasons I cancelled my subscription Simon ,I gather over 3,000 members have done the same, the Nfu need to support the ahdb I mean they have to go somewhere in semi retirement and top up their pension pot, it also very handy because it is only a few hundred metres up the road.

This is the problem with some of these hobby farmers henarar , they know the answer to everything I think it’s called frustration.
It was a joke
I don't know or care if he is a hobby farmer, why would it make a difference
I used to do a lot a contract baling and wrapping my biggest customer had about 1000 bales per year and the smallest about 10, I charged them all the same per bale, interestingly both of those customers could be classed as hobby farmers.
don't you think you can learn anything from a hobby farmer ?

For clarity, I run two businesses - one faming and one not. Both are profitable although the non-farming one has a higher turnover, higher margin and a very much lower capital investment. I wouldn't class either as a hobby, but working at the farming enterprise is more pleasurable than the non-farming one. As @Henarar suggests, both benefit from the learning experiences and skills gained in the other.

like I said they seem to know everything about everything so I ought to really.

Here's a tip bunny old boy, don't drink & write on forums.
I will ignore that remark , on a more serious note maybe you could ask your mates at the ahdb if spending 1.5 million on promoting themselves is legal considering in a election taxpayers money cannot be used, that is your levy and mine which is supposed to be for r and d,they wouldn’t even let us have mailing list, of course highland mule will think this is fair mind you it probably is in Scotland .

There is no chance on this earth I will enter into anything that associates me with someone out to cause trouble and turbulence.
Challenge them, by all means, (I do regularly) but do it in a proper fashion. Coming on here insulting me isn't the right way to do it.

Are you related to Confucius, mind you thinking about it you can’t be he was to clever to grow potatoes.

You insinuate that I'm somehow not clever because I grow potatoes

Here's a tip bunny old boy, don't drink & write on forums.

Bunny = term of endearment. (Rabbit = Bunny)
Suggesting someone is under the influence of drink is not saying they have a drink problem, but if the cap fits, then feel free to wear it.

[/QUOTE]not In the way you presented it is most definitely not ,saying you were related to Confucius is hardly insulting,I noticed you didn’t try and defend them freeloaders at the ahdb.
