Vegan meals in prisons, schools and hospitals.
Does this dummy realise how much of the farmland in the country that he runs isn't suitable for producing vegan options.
We all know this is just an empty publicity act, but they could try not to sound so clownish
The only plant the inmates of prison are interested in is cannabis maybe Boris has had his brain cells fried with weed !!!
Any more fairytale policies coming out of his arse and its a definite !!!

Fruit & Veg farms - in other words Green Houses.

It'll take at least a year just to put up the Green Houses and probably another year to get the planning & construction firm to do so.

Not sure how long it will take to grow the crops .. all hot air & p@ss IMHO.
A lot of glasshouses were not planted in the late winter period.

Shortage of Labour due to brexit, high heating costs due to Putin & other high costs versus historically poor prices driven by supermarkets wanting to sell very cheaply.

Labour is the Key ingredient. Pre Brexit the Labour balance was just about right. Labour was available on Farm, in Factories and in Hospitality. Covid was a smoke screen that confused the reliance of foreign Labour. Post Brexit the realisation is that Boris delivered a delusional ‘New Little England’. Now we seem to want our foreign Labour back, was it really worth the effort, but will they come back?

Keep up love

Broccoli & caulie harvested now is uk product.

Sown October under glass in modules, grown slowly, planted early Mar under thermal plastic or fleece. Lots of work but very worth while prices, almost double last years.
we grew an acre of broccoli outside 30 odd years ago, had great fun boxing it all up and flogging it to the local veg shops

Its virtually all grown outside, but the seeds are usually grown in 345 module trays in a glasshouse & then transplanted. There are various reasons, more precise plant population, easier weed control, greater uniformaty of crop but one over whelming reason is a seedling without 100& protection from insects is a dangerous place for young brassica plants.
