Today we hear that RPA are aiming to Pay around 35% of farmers on the first day of the Payment window, which is 1st Dec.

I thought it would be interesting to see just what % of those here receive theirs, and when.
It may prove a good reference for the future.

As part of its commitment to pay more than half of all farmers by the end of the year, the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) has announced that around 30,000 farmers are set to receive their 2015 Basic Payment Scheme payments on Tuesday (1 December).

The payments to farmers, representing at least 35% of those who claimed, mean the RPA is also on track to meet their promise to pay the vast majority of claimants by the end of January.

Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Elizabeth Truss said:

"My focus has always been on providing our hard-working farmers with these payments as early as possible. The Rural Payments Agency has worked tirelessly to process claims and I am delighted that through their dedication such a significant number of farmers will benefit from receiving their payments at the earliest possible opportunity.

"Volatile markets had made 2015 a difficult year for many of our farmers and both my and the RPA’s continued priority is to make sure the remaining payments are made as quickly as possible during the payment window.

"The added complexities and burdens of the new Common Agricultural Policy have proved challenging for everyone, which is why I am continuing to stress the need to simplify the rules and regulations in Europe for the benefit of our farming industry."

RPA Chief Executive Mark Grimshaw added:

"We have been working seven days a week to ensure we deliver in an accurate and timely manner, drawing on resources from across government, to process claims so that full BPS payments to farmers start to be paid on the first day of the 2015 payment window."

Had a phone call from defra today querying a single buffer strip which they are amending and I need to sign a form to say I agree with the change. Can't see my sfp being anytime soon as a result of this.:(

We got ours in in early May, had a greening check very early on and a mapping query in August so I hope that means they have looked at everything and we are on course. However based on history I am hoping I am pleasantly surprised

Any chance of similar threads for Wales, Scotland and NI please? Just think it would be interesting to compare and putting them all on one thread could be misleading and confusing.

I have set one up for Wales, if someone from Scotland & NI would care to comment I will do similar.

I would like to see this for Northern Ireland.

On 13th November the DARD Minister issued a press release saying that "95% of eligible BPS applicants" would be paid in December. https://www.dardni.gov.uk/news/we-w...ic-payment-scheme-applicants-december-o’neill

Funnily enough the next day I got a letter saying that it was not yet determined if my claim was 'eligible'. I believe that the Minister is misleading the public with the creation of a false group she is calling 'eligible' whilst ignoring those cases the Department still has not determined are or are not eligible.

So it would be good to have a record of how people in NI are actually paid.

Cant see ours arriving early,i used an RLE1 form(same as 80% of claimants) haven't heard anything other than the receipt of the form. With that in mind I don't see them paying 35% of claims on the 1st!

They came back to me with an RLE question in August, they said the other changes I had we're fine just how I had drawn a feature line they needed clarifying. At least I know they looked at it :)

As I said we hadn't a land change in 15 yrs and never received it on the first day of the payment window so if they couldn't pay outs on the first day with no changes, God knows when we will get it this time. I hope I am proved wrong :)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
