I'm a little confused and haven't got time to read through everything....... have the RPA done another payment run or are they saying if we haven't received payment so far we will now receive a letter?

Basically Liz Truss told the EFRA committee that 70% of farmers have now been paid!

And that ALL of the 30% who have not been paid have received letters telling them their payment will be delayed!

So thus around 61600 have been paid!

26400 have not been paid but have ALL received letters!! ( thou about 13400 of them got lost in the post  )

And apparently there has been a small payment run today!

Either LT has got confused over the figures/ there is 13400 letters going to hit doormats any day or she just lied to the EFRA committee .. Take your pick!!

I'll second that one! What are the odds on getting paid before the end of the month, (or even the end of June) given that we are: 1. Young/new Farmers; 2. Commonland forms the bulk of our claim; 3. It is classified as being large (>£50k)?

So is this 70% the VAST MAJORITY they've been so proudly talking about then? I presume LT was not so quick to tell the committee that they've only paid 50% of the money though!

Yep I guess so!

NFU are going to be seeking clarification of the figures she quoted/ the claim ALL the 30% that haven't been paid have received letters ( as it clearly isnt true ) as a matter of urgency!

I have 2 letters. As they seem to be in demand should I put one on the classifides ? If so what's it worth.

Bg

You pay us 30% of your claim to take it off your hands :ROFLMAO:

The letter part is important as she stated that the 30% could take the letter to their banks for support untill the BPS is paid! Trouble is over half that 30% haven't received a letter in the first place..

No letter. No payment!!! So basically she is lying!!!

It's looking very much like that is the case!

If she has the NFU will have to call for her to resign and demand that as the RPA are in such a mess as they have no idea what the situation is that they pay out part payments of 70% of the claim value to all the people who haven't received letters within 7 days!

I don't think even the NFU can try and justify doing anything different!
