No it shows they're a whinging bunch of fukersI think it just shows how sceptical Conservative voting farmers have become about how they are treated by 'their' MP's.

Andersons as in Enron .....According to the Andersons bit in FW this week their estimate is that arable cropping will lose £7/ha next year.
That's compared to £677/ha profit this season, £376/ha last year and £46/ha the year before.
it says wouldn't have been allowed had we still been in europe [ not sure about that ! ] clutching at straws if you ask me
That part is true I think.
They also wouldn’t have been able to slash the amount, or divert it as wildly into daft ELMS schemes either.
thought as much , another lie from this government and I've had a belly full of it !!For the 8 years I have received the sub in France, they have made a 50% advance in October. The amount is based on the previous year, so it can cause some confusion for altering enterprises .
See aboveNot in the long term, but in the short term it can.
shouldn't be too big a problem from tax point of view... one payment can be allocated into last years accounts as a debtor, its probably not such a great sum that it affects your tax position all that much though, especially with farmer averaging? They’re a bloody nightmare with their stewardship payments. Nowt for years then two years worth on the same day. Doesn’t half wreck havoc with your tax situation
This is exactly what they want you to do with it … very risky I saybut what do you do with it?....sit on it or buy next years inputs?
i raised this question to the Rpa about forwarding the payment. On a thread on here a couple of years ago. Glad it’s come to fruition. To many farmers we’re getting mugged off. Selling off the combine to ease cash flow.I honestly cannot believe the comments above. The RPA are doing something to help your cash flow, and you mostly are critical of this move.Do you all have such vast wealth that the BPS is just a minor inconvenience to you or have you all bought 2 yrs of N last year and not yet sold anything from 2021 harvest? For once, just once, wind your necks in and grow up.

People tried to do the same with covid grants/loans but stock prices went up over night and knocked alot of get rich ideasA smart man would use the early money to reinvest into something that makes them money…
im not smart so will probably just waste the money on a extra pen of store cattle bought a few months sooner….

CF certainly got the Gov by the balls last year regards CO2 supplies.. would not be at all surprised that this announcement followed a suggestion and a little squeeze...Not sure it was intentional but that will be the result
Exactly, it's backdoor subsidisation of the fertiliser industry by stealth.CF certainly got the Gov by the balls last year regards CO2 supplies.. would not be at all surprised that this announcement followed a suggestion and a little squeeze...
Moan moan moanExactly, it's backdoor subsidisation of the fertiliser industry by stealth.
Rather they froze it same rate as last year and have in december....Im very impressed. Well done RPA. Very helpful potentially. Good vision to see the problems ahead and reassuring that a government body has acknowledged that times are going to be challenging
