You seem to be more interested in wrecking the EU than doing what's right for us?

As a net importer, reciprocating tariffs would cost us dear.
Inflation would rocket here damaging our economy most.
do you know what the actual rate of tariffs are? Apart from food they arent that high and many less than the advantage we have had from the lower currency. Our exports to to the EU are a small part of our gdp and they cant ban our goods as they would be breaking WTO rules.
Inflation would in many ways help the uk get out of its debt hole as well, obviously it needs to be kept within reason

But does big business have any hold over the EU infact do its members other than a veto. So many people have different vested interests is any agreement possible. WTO or we back down seem to be the only deals in town.

Trade with the EU matters a lot, but slightly less than it used to
About 43% of UK exports in goods and services went to other countries in the EU in 2016—£240 billion out of £550 billion total exports.

That share has generally been declining, since exports to other countries have increased at a faster rate.

So, how does that help? The UK cannot afford to loose anymore and there isn't a market just waiting for British goods to be cut loose from the EU.
