British friesian bulls

Back in 2007 I nearly bought a couple of bulls from the Blackisle herd to put onto our HF cows, everyone I spoke to told me is was a bad idea and the crosses wouldn't be up to much. I ended up buying a Holstein bull from a top Scottish breeder and it must be some of the most frail horrible animals we ever bred!! I wish I had bought the fresian bulls, they were bloody solid lads!!

Milking winnoch umpire and winnoch officer daughters at the moment as well as a few Deangate Tarquin daughters and a few by Moet melody out of some fatty Friesian cows. Got some calves by Deangate consul looking great and serving heifer to consul still and serving best cows also to consul, or they get Lakemead Jingle. Then any cows that don't hold after 3 or 4 serves to jingle get fert plus easy calved or fert plus blue

My oldest where born last September and haven't had any problems so far. Have had 8 cows so far calve to him and had 8 heifer calves and one bull( one set of twin heifers) so seems to be throwing a high number of heifer calves so thought I would carry on using him. Calves are very black in colour so guessing he is a very black bull but can't find a photo of him.

l have just calved some Piet adema heifers. I like them, they are quiet, milky and quite big. Seem to work well on hylke cows. Serving cows to him again now. Good outcrossing too. May not suit @Cows 'n grass because they are positive on stature. I would suggest Hilton or caleb for shorter cows with good constituents
