Did an overseed a couple of years ago with chickory and plantain in the mix. Had grazed this ground down to dirt with sheep being supplement with hay. Harrowed first then rolled in. Chickory and plantain did best on the barest ground. Regret not harrowing it more aggressively prior to seeding especially for the grasses.

Have broadcasted it succesfully. However was just to overseed at 1kg per hectare. Let it flower and go to seed. Has done quite well. Very draught resistant.
