Agent came to me a few years back with a great oppertunity to help the local community receive high speed internet from their cable. Wanted to trench close on 2 miles along the roadside edge of my fields for 250$. On listening to his chatter it was going a foot deep and I would have been liable if it was broken. Also I’d have pay any losses incurred from service outage. He got laughed at but came back three times to try to guilt me into allowing the cable. Still no cable lol.

Openreach are notorious for not paying the agent working for you. So agents aren't willing to go the extra mile on your behalf.
We've 50m of fibre optic at 12" deep through a field thanks to their lazy staff.
I'm waiting until we sell the land and the next owner ploughs it up.
