Back in the day when I buck raked a push off fork was very easy to use. Nowadays as an observer I wonder why more are not used, even on large shovels.
Because they sit idle for the rest of the year whereas a grab fork is used most days on a stock farmI don't understand that either. Push off would save your forearm and wrist from all that flicking lark?
Used hardox on jcb 310 here. The only advantage I have seen in the past is kv tines are better on wagon silage.
Ever thought of unbolting the top half of the grab at silage time ?Have done it with an albutt 8 foot hardox grab and it works well but it's very easy to put grass over the back on to the boom, which then gets jammed in the linkages.. also if your on an inside pit once you start getting close to the couples you have to remember about the grab being open and sticking up
