I have had one for prob 3 years. Been dropped a few times... 2 years warranty I think? A few months ago someone disconnected the power when it was on a girder. It broke the gearbox casing..... phoned evolution a new casing was £30. Had a set of brushes for the motor they were £5. I’d def have another
I managed to drop one at less than a week old. It broke the alloy slider off one side.

Got to be worth ringing Evolution at that rate. Thanks.

Things cropped up so I didn’t get to order a mag but need one now for the weekend. Just wondering what’s the mostly used cutters you guys find yourself using around the farm? The Rotabroach do sets so would they be good enough?

Is there a difference in size in the machine between 30/35/40mm etc?

Why does MagDrill sell Rotabroach Panther and on the Rotabroach website, they advertise the ‘Element’?

I’m trying to factor in what size of Drill I would need, 30/35/40 to be safe for future use and if better to buy the cutters in a set or individually?

Magdrill with a Morse taper is handy as can put a chuck in it then for normal drills👍

1+ for evolution they do up to 44mm, bigger mag drills with auto feed are better but hugely more money especially if your tapping a lot of stuff. The bits themselves add up to as much as the tool when you have an assortment sadly. Generally to get them re ground is as dear as new. 30mm plus is where I’d get them re ground.
