Are you sure? Got a re submitted application in the now and there’s not such a thing. Government were lobbied to remove them cos they restricted borrowing. This is just recently. Personally I’d prefer them to still be in place. However if I’m wrong let me know how because it’s a minefield.

I know a farmer who has bought a plot right across the road from his steading to avoid a tie and another who has to keep at least 100 acres as a condition of a new house built around 10 years ago.

I know as I say this has just happened recently.

You may be right. I looked at some legal websites and they talk about planning obligations so I think that without conditions you would not get permission to build on the farm which seems the same as the old ties. Conditions vary depending why you want a house

I’ve one in the now and there’s no mention of any conditions. As said as soon as put conditions on it you de value the property limiting your borrowing which I was told was the argument. As said would make my life easier having a section 75

Just had a quote for leccy connection,a new stronger pole ,30 metres across the road ,pole to pole,down pole into my ducting , total length of cable 106 metres ,quote 6000 +vat
