Burning barley off

I always get itchy feet this time and just had a look at some winter barley. It seems uneven tramlines green and parts of middles completely necked!
It also has a bit of wheat in it? Around 2 plants m2 will this be a problem? Would you bother putting some roundup on it?

Just get on with it. It needs at least a fortnight to get benefits. The amount of times I go to spray off for farmers and it should be combine in field not sprayer with glyphosate. Which is probably why they are wanting it banned as it doesn't get correct harvest interval and still on grain.

They changed the ingredients of Glyphosate last year ( without telling anyone ) and it will now need at least 3 weeks to work and ideally 4 weeks for spraying off crops!

So your saying if we buy the same product as last year it will take longer to work ... Find this hard to believe but time will tell !

It will work the same as last year but not the year before.

Plenty of people ( myself included ) posted on here saying that the crops were not giving up any where as quickly as normal and it turned out that they had changed it, ( someone posted on here the changes )

Someone posted the changes on here but yes it has defo been changed and takes longer to work on crops like Barley.
Can you point us in the direction of that please? There's dozens of different glyphosate products on the market, most with slightly different additives. It's unlikely they've all changed.

Glyphosate has frequently been slow to burn OSR off, some years it's very quick, others not so. That's more to do with weather and crop condition than anything.
I seem to remember something about the tallow amine containing products not being allowed for desiccation. Maybe that's it, but any agronomist worth his salt would have added other conditioners to counter that anyway.
