Buy machinery now or wait until after Brexit date?

That sounds reassuring and authoritative even though it is at odds with all the expert opinions. I wonder what you base that nonsense on? Especially our export prediction, when it is most probable that without a deal our exports will be subject to stinging tariffs while our imports seem to be promised to be tariff free.
We are already losing export markets for out beef and Canada, for instance, has broken off trade deal talks because it calculates that there is a good chance that Boris will stand by his word and not introduce tariffs against them. Make no mistake, they are unlikely to reciprocate, hence the breakup of such talks.

It is by no means certain that we will exit on 31st Oct either. Hammond, and very many MP's are dead against it, certainly with no EU deal in place. Parliament will not allow its authority to be usurped by the Prime Minister. It is very unlikely to happen. It is also a mistake to assume that 'out' is the default position if nothing is done one way or another. That is not actually the case.
If imports are going to made tarriff free or very low, export tariffs should match otherwise a deal can’t be made surely. I know all about WTF but it has to balance out. Should the EU make it difficult for UK goods, we, if we leave with no deal have to reciprocate on their goods. Otherwise we are stupid.

They don't have to reciprocate , and probably won't ...., because they're mission is to inflict pain .....

Parliament can try all the tactics they want to delay, or stop Brexit but unless article 50 is revoked or the EU 27 agree to an extension we’re out.

Anything else is pretty irrelevant now.

Certainly nothing parliament can do to stop the EU 27 voting a further extension down

it can only be extended if the EU agree to an extension I think ? and didn't they say last time that there would be no more extensions ? is that correct ?

Brexit on the 31st October is the default I believe ?? unless UK government agrees on revoke or extension (no hope they will agree on anything !) and then the EU accept what they agree to ask for (also no hope of that !)

more delays are the worst case scenario now IMO - we need to just get on with it and deal with whatever

The new EU head honcho (the lady) has indicated they may accept a further extension, however I don't see it happening. The card they will play is " Mrs May has already agreed the withdrawal agreement" however, this flies in the face of British Democracy, which is a buggers muddle at the moment. The only way is hard-ball, however it was never going to be any other.

Although there is division in our Country, the politics are interesting, and go's to show why most large cooperatives fail.

in theory, yes, in reality no.

It is not democratic, it's like animal farm, some Countries have more votes than others, we could get our own way now and again, if we convinced only two or three others to vote with us, if they carried enough proxy votes.
