Anyone else finding it a bad year for it? Worst I've ever seen . Crops are that poor this year after drought I don't think I want to go out with hallmark.

Yes, it's too late now. The virus is spread by aphids which typically infect the crop at around 1-2 leaves. The symptoms then become more visible as the plants grow- yellow leaves, stunted plants.

Every field here was showing the classic orangey/yellow flecks a couple of weeks ago. Apparently it is secondary infection here and should not impact too much on yield.
Now that the crop is out in ear it looks much better than it did. I suppose it will have some effect on the crop but generally it looks quite well considering the drought effect as well as BYDV.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
