What's the best thing to use to clean plastic trims in the tractor cab and pickup.
Who is best to tag? @Robert K @ColinV6 @slim shiny they seem to have immaculate cabs

Microfibre cloth and some automotive dashboard cleaner type product. Just test on a small area first and try to avoid doing it on a hot day or in direct sunlight where the product might dry up before you have a chance to remove it.

Leather seats/armrests I would guess will respond to a nice leather cream cleaner but it will want to be left to dry nicely before you sit in it.

If you can be arshed, the plastic/rubber or whatever it is that constitutes the floor in a tractor may well come up very nice with a trim cleaning product and help stop the dust sticking. Won't work on the 3 inch shagpile some of you use though.

very good on tough stains. Then you can use a non greasy/shinny detailer like this to keep it clean

The first product Rob has linked to is an all purpose cleaner, a lot of these are alkaline in nature and that being the case, you must not use them at the wrong concentration and certainly do not spray them on and allow them to dry out. As the water evaporates they can become more concentrated and attack plastics causing them to fade. Just be careful with them.

Autoglym shampoo to clean and vinyl and rubber care to recondition and put the shine back on. The vinyl and rubber care is bloody expensive but I have never found anything better. Never used the pink in anger though.

yes Oli is correct, only ever use as instructed on the bottle. in my experience its good to use and wipe off immediatly . however use with caution
this may be a safer bet

If it's actually dirty and grimy then diluted TFR 50-50 in a spray bottle works wonder for the initial clean then use whatever you fancy as a clener then a bottle of Finish spray or similar at the end to give it a nice aroma!!! When I used to work for a dealer then most tractors needed the steam cleaner with TFR inside to clean the window seals, the dash, headlining and console!!! Remove seat and mats to get a proper clean!!!

The cabs and truck has got quite bad, dusty and mucky. But have taken on another staff member so will have more time. Want to set an example.

For things with actual mud on them (pedals, floor etc) often an APC is the stuff to get it off. Spray, allow to soak in and then rub off. Serious grime is what these products really excel at in my experience. But for use on leather and the like I would probably use something gentler.

The easiest way as always to keep the cab clean, is do it every time you get 5 minutes, it could be while getting loaded for example. A quick spritz, microfibre off and voila.

Remove as many bulky dirty layers of clothing as you can before getting in, and an absolute must, essential is a pair of decent grippy gloves. Always on the cab floor, if your jumping out to unhitch, attach pipes, put a tarp on, anything... just glove up. It takes 5 seconds on and off. Keeps hands clean which keeps controls like new.

Reminds me of a neighbour’s late father , left to feed up when son went skiing for a week. Son came back to a tractor and Manitou controls caked in a mix of molasses , grain and straw! Lesson being don’t go on holiday!

One of Jones Bro's drivers used to nick my digger on the landfill when i was on my break sometimes .Never known a bloke so messy he would get wet clay everywhere i think he rolled around in a puddle for a hobby. Ended up having to take the keys with me in the end which was a PITA .
