Calving to bulling interval and Synchronisation

What are peoples experiences of using a synchronisation heat at 35ish days post calving to gain time?

we have got a few late calving cows that lost time last year, believe it was due to older a older bull struggling, as once we changed bulls they got incalf within a cycle and some we would like to keep on.

our vet is saying that if we did a synchronisation Heat early post calving to start them cycling sooner and says should gain a month if not 2 heat cycles.

Did it for the first time last year, had a few out of pattern due to a bull injury. It worked a treat on most.

How much time did you gain roughly?

Just over a month on the majority, the best was 6weeks.

How soon post calving did you start them on synchronisation?

I'm sure when I did it a few years ago I waited 30 days since the last one calved before starting synchro

I’d have to look back, but I wouldn’t put them in any that haven’t been calved 30 days.
