Case Maxxum Knocking

Hello,

We have a case maxxum 125, base model with front suspension and the stoll loader. - 400 hours on the clock delivered december. When going over a bump in the right way (down hill and while braking seemed to make it happen more) there is a knock that comes from under the floor on the left hand side. you can kind of feel it as well. then if you go over a really big bump there is a terrific crack like something breaking, but i cant see that anything is - scared the sh!t out of me the first time i heared that, and still does. We thought it was the loader to start with, because it was doing it while doing loader work as well, but it has been happening with the loader off doing fieldwork.

Any ideas as to what it could be would be appreciated. Going to ring the dealer up at some point but wandered if anybody else had had anything similar? I thought it could maybe be something in the cab suspension broken or loose?

Could be the rubber mount gone on the front of the cab. We have a nh 200 doing exactly the same as you described, the rubber has gone soft and going over big bumps makes the cab move so much in the rubber its metal to metal which is the banging noise

My T6.145 I got before Christmas done that. Lift up mat and tighten the bolts into cab mount. Think it's 32mm needed. I got mine done by dealer at 600 hour service
That is basically the same tractor as the maxxum just made in england. And just before christmas is similar to when ours was delivered (ours was just after). ITs on 400 hours so not got a service for a while. I'll ring em up on monday and get them to come out and fix it. Or is it something that they can just come out and fix or will i have to take it in to the dealership for a bit? Also did you have the big cracking sound as well as the bump/knock?

Would that be on a new tractor though? She is just passed 400 hours and not even a year old

Yup mine was cracking as well. Tbh you could do it yourself. I ended up helping them do it, I have an enlarged ring spanner for tightening the bolts on the JF harvester blades and it fitted and gave lots of leverage for a good pull, lucky it was in the cab if I'm honest. Been 140 hours since the service and it hasn't made it again.
