Looking for some advice on where to put a cb radio in a 7600 Massey Ferguson cab. Also where to mount the aerial

Mount it under the fridge run the lead out and mount the aerial either on the beacon holder or the rear light cluster can run the power and earth down the inside of the pillar power direct to a spare fuse and earth to the earth point that’s located behind the ignition

This is the best place for a CB & the mice & the EX speaker in a MF

I couldn’t cope with it there the lead swaying in my eyeline would fry me after a hour

I say the same as lofty. Under the fridge in corner. One of my tractors has a mag mount aerial and other mounted on the wing mirror. Mag mount aerial works a lot better.

If you mean the mag mount? The hatch on the roof top is metal

Yea as he said above metal hatch on top that’s metal. Can put the coax Wiring in behind the cooler cubby hole to hide the wires outta the way nicely.

Like others have said, under the fridge. I had mine there.

Sorry to hijack this but does anyone have any solutions to using a cb in these modern tractors without all the interference from the electrics on them ?

I mount my cb and mic in the same place, but run the mic lead through the first air vent and out of the next, keeps it. Out of the way

Try to take power straight from battery and a good earth also you can get magnetic gadget that clamps around the coax to filter interference

In the corner out the way, cannot be doing with screens and wires in my face all day.

Have them up here in our fendts as well they work well up there and we all like them like that
