Ceat vs bkt

Just what the tyre fitter told me the other night.
It was late but I wasn’t asleep. He’s probably forgotten more about tyres than you will ever manage to learn.
Working for a main dealer workshop at the time I was involved in presenting customers cases on tyre failures to continental so know enough about the process

Does any1 run nokian tyres on the front of a loader tractor? Theyr expensive but would they last well?
We did on last loader tractor trellborgs lasted 2000 hours ceats 1000 hours and Nokias still 60% left after 2000 hours when we sold it. Definitely would use them again but I’d also fit on back they a bit harder and maybe cause a little wind up.

Has anyone checked the rolling circumference of CEAT tyres compared to other brands? friend has a replacement set of 650/65r38 on his tractor, and is convinced they are much smaller in overall diameter.
Checked the spec of Bkt and Ceat 18.4x26 and the Ceats were quite a bit lighter.

Yokohama bought Trelleborg last year, they also own the Maximo, Cultor and Mitas brands.
Yokohama also own Alliance tyres. Wonder why they don't list them on their website?

Ceat tyres are Indian. Generally old carcass design, but with a hard wearing tread compound. Wear better than most

Vredestein are similar price, but far more comfort, grip, and last a lot longer. Need to be careful of the load rating though. The traxion isn't rated to carry as much as some others, but if not overloaded, they are tremendous value for money

Bridgestone VX are another very good wearing tyre. Only the fancy patterned nokians will be better, but at near twice the price. Bridgestone load rating is also very high, and they can be inflated up to 2 bar to carry the weight. Most others are 1.6 bar maximum. Down side is the ride on the road at the high pressure is quite "unforgiving"

I've Bridgestone VX on my loader. My muck grab and bucket are eight foot wide, and meant for a telehandler. It does a fair bit of long haul roadwork, as well as the cultivation and grassland work. Theres over 4000 hours on the tyres, and the fronts are still more than 40mm tread!

Can you still get firestone performers?. Iv got a pair on the front of the old 5130 loader. They wore down quicker than id have liked but then seemed to stay at 30% for ever
