Herefordshire based but I’m sure general distance doesn’t matter as it’ll soon be delivered.

Sorry I don’t see why this is a strange question? I’m looking for recommendations for cereal seed suppliers based on other people’s experience instead of a biased representative. Naturally looking for potential seed cost savings on my current suppliers for example Wynnstay who can be expensive.

Depends how much were you need. Be a bit of difference if you need 1.5t in 25kg bags, or two artic loads. I just use a buying group and let them sort it out.

So you are looking for recommendations. Fair enough. It was the alternative suppliers phrase that seemed odd as google would have told you.

I just chuck my orders at a buying group. Agrii or Dunns seem to supply most if it.

I use buying group and buy some direct, specialists I would recommend you try are milcote hall seeds and horizon seeds.

Hutchinsons can often be good on price too.

Smarts are good, usually comes through buying group.

The cost of seed corn should be a pinned item, with posters able to state the price/tonnage of varieties they have ordered. This would be a great help for most people, I believe, especially if they've been using just one supplier for a while.
