Simple answer is it wont stop anything being stolen or likely not put them off in doing so.
I have several machines here datatagged & had two of them done long after purchasing them
Thats now been paid for my reducing there ins yearly premium so that helps.
there is hidden transponders that no thief will ever find aswell as the visible stickers !!

If the Cesar tractor is your newest and most valuable, thieves will likely still take it rather than one of the others... Is it worth it to you really depends how much it is worth to your insurance company and how much they are willing to share that value by reducing your premiums

just over 3yrs & ins disc covered mine... am into 4th year when renewal comes in march !!! win win win but thats about it

I went to a talk from a guy working for them. He had recovered a stolen machine that had a replacement plate on it the manufacturer swore blind was genuine. Was a very expensive non ag piece of kit. I do think it’s a useful deterrent. They put a number of small microdot things on the machine which are almost impossible to find.

That depends on who your insurer is. NFUM give 12.5% discount for that machine which usually covers the cost of the Datatag in year 1 on bigger bits of kit.

must admit mine was a tractor (new) and do 100% contracting so discount just coverd cost of data tag. changed tractor now which is datatagged by manufacturer
