It does, pipeline comes south through our farm.I think most of our gas still comes from the North sea. By most I mean largest single supplier.

And these figures are for the first half of the year.Unbelievable ...............

I've always thought you were one of the nice folk on here.It does, pipeline comes south through our farm.
I’ve a cousin who’s an armed response officer in the Met. In the week running up to the 2014 independence referendum he was sent up to the St Fergus terminal on a “training” exercise with an envelope to be opened in the event of a yes vote.

there was another thread on here, where some were arguing that no one should have a shotgun without a reason, and I don't think to protect my farm from anarchy would count as a reason!!It’ll be 3 days until anarchy.
Keep plenty of 12 bore cartridges!
I was thinking of protecting my deep freeze originally.there was another thread on here, where some were arguing that no one should have a shotgun without a reason, and I don't think to protect my farm from anarchy would count as a reason!!
and a national grid that can cope with everyone charging their electric vehicles, oops I forgot we all have smart meters so we know what we use or can be switched off from the centre as needed (delete whichever is right!), oh and a supply of rare earths, and somewhere to dispose of the batteries.Isn't all this chaos an inevitable outcome of environmental naivety, if you suddenly announce to the world that oil has no future & electric is the wonder cure it's hardly a surprise that oil companies stop drilling for new oil finds. As finding new natural gas supplies is a fortunate result of oil exploration it's hardly surprising that gas rich countries like Russia who think power is preferable to eco fads quickly manipulate the gas market to their advantage & are easily able to cripple stupidly underprepared naive countries like the UK. Time to get back into North Sea oil exploration & find more natural gas & delay all these electric wonder vehicles until we have electric security?
I am surprised terrorists haven't targeted firms that are so important to the country functioningIt’s one company today.
They have (been allowed to) become big enough that their decisions can shut the country down.
Until they made that decision to stop last week, nobody seemed aware of this potential “threat”.
How do countries that don’t have fertiliser factories source their required CO2?
I can’t quite make head or tail out of all this…
I am surprised terrorists haven't targeted firms that are so important to the country functioning
Shhhhhhhhh they might not have thought of that ( yet)I am surprised terrorists haven't targeted firms that are so important to the country functioning
Well, to the untrained eye, a single profitable overseas firm has threatened to stop producing a product and the govt has just bunged them a big wad of dosh. Call it what you like.
