Used a charmoise tup this time good lambs so far but have had one with wattles, bit of research shows it's not uncommon. What do people do anything or nothing?

How common are they in purebreds and crossbreds
Never Seen them before
Nearly all my pures have them, until shearing! If caught by the machine they are easily removed usually with only a little blood. In most cross breds they do not grow that large, apart from suffolk first cross rams when they are like carrots! I usually warn people what to expect. They are benign.

What are skin tags ?

I’d only ever seen them on goats, before I (briefly) had a few Charmoise ewes. I assumed it must be some sort of throwback genetic thing, going back to the Charmoise roots, but who knows?

Surprisingly, I haven’t seen any on the far more goat like Exlana sheep.🤷‍♂️
