Morning all
I'm looking for a volunteer in the Highlands to test a Novatel-replacement for AGCO VDO3/VDO4 etc. Others have confirmed these do work, but I just haven't tried it myself yet. Is there anyone in the Highlands who has modern AGCO machinery who might be willing to work with me? Once verified, I can offer these up for sale. I'd thought perhaps they might be useful to rent as temporary replacement in case of failure with the original equipment, or even perhaps for sale for someone upgrading older equipment to auto-steer (I don't really imagine they'd appeal to someone spending on a new tractor).
Just to be clear, this is nothing to do with AgOpenGPS, so please don't discuss it in the usual AOG places, it's not related.
It's a drop-in replacement (or substitute) for the official AGCO stuff - your tractor still requires a modem for RTK etc, this is purely a GPS module replacement. It works with VarioGuide, Datatronic etc, your tractor just thinks it has Novatel installed. But at a fraction of the cost.
Fingers crossed for a volunteer - cheers!
