Hello I have been asked to do some quotes for building a few field shelters for horsey type people. They want a steel frame building 12 foot square with an open end.

does anybody have any handy tips or ideas for the cladding material and the roof. Just normal box profile I’m thinking? Or is there anything cheaper or better? Stockboard? The customer isn’t fussy about if it looks pretty just want durable and low maintenance.

box profile on roof.....shouldn't get any condensation cos of open end

box profile sides as long as no sharp edges.....but you'll need decent interior kick boards....ply£££££😭.....or good osb....to a ht of 4ft

Anything but onduline. Tears like paper in a puff of wind after a couple of years.
Speaking from experience 🤬
It IS paper! Or rather bitumen impregnated cardboard. Even 450mm is too wide. I'd suggest 45mm!

Find a demolition contractor for used box profile. To avoid condensation, the cheapest material is plastic sheeting on timber battens. Doesn't need to be substantial, just support the sheeting to form an air gap. Scour Marketplace etc. for used building material.

I have been told onduine is supposed to be put on top of osb.

Our local saw mill sell something they called "square edge" which is the barky outsides that they saw off roundwood before making planks. Odd lengths but cheap; we've used it on some log sheds.
