First question would probably be, why is it in an auction?
Unless it's a farm dispersal I suppose. How old is it?
Next would be, has it been chipped or mapped but I don't know how you tell that, so if I was buying at an auction, I'd have a mechanic look the tractor over first. Can you easily check the vin number with a dealer?

Get hold of the serial number and ask your dealer to run it on the system, it’ll show any work a JD dealer has done with it. Not foolproof as any work done by an independent won’t be recorded, but it’s a start.

In the current climate it's in a collective auction because it'll probably make near retail money

If it’s that 6900 pictured it’s probably been on the same farm from new , as the reg number is local and the JD dealer at the time was in the next village. I know nothing of the seller but it’s a genuine dispersal of 2 farms joining forces.

I had a 6900 power quad that had a max speed of 27 km/hr. if that’s important to you, worth checking on. It was hopeless for me

Watching a video a dealer had done on a tractor last night. Flew round the cab, the dash was reflecting the sun, whipped past the tyres and focused on the badge for 10 seconds. WTF!
