With the new policy from the big Herefordshire based chicken growers that means growers have to sell muck rather than spread it on their own land (so I read) - you would assume a lot of muck becoming available and price will drop?

as of the 1st of jan any ground that has a catchment area of the wye can't have chicken muck so thats most of herefordshire out not just chicken farms

So it will have to be exported - either ad plant or wherever it can be spread? I think I read that it can be spread in the catchment area if crop/soil need can be demonstrated?
Maybe there will have to be a regime similar to sewage sludge where soil tests have to be done to prove a need to a level.
It was free but now they think they can charge so we’ve cancelled our annual tonnage. Same goes for the gypsum gang.
